We ensure that all our home child carers/ support workers have a current CRB/DBS check, Paediatric First Aid certificate, NVQ Level 3: Children and Young People’s Workforce, SEN, SENCO, Ofsted registration (or are willing to obtain), and as child carer providers, it's important that they remember that children with special needs are children first. Our aim is to deliver high levels of customer service with a personal touch. Children with special needs have the same needs as all children and to be in a place where they feel physically comfortable, loved and secure; opportunities to play and learn; people who care about them; and activities that allow them to be successful. Children with special needs often are not so different from typically-developing children with that we are aware that they may need more time to learn and practice certain skill and we ensure that our home child carers are encouraged to do more praises and encouragement to enable the children to gain the skills typical for their age group.

How can a special needs trained nanny help?
Special Needs Children may have specific needs based on their impairment, our nannies are experienced and can help with:
Making slight changes in the child's enviroment
Providing developmentally appropriate activities that will help the child feel capable and avoid activities that can be done only a certain way.
Avoiding over stimulation
Modeling appropriate play behaviours by being a play-friend

How much does a Special Needs Nanny Cost?
Salaries will depend upon age, experience, and the duties involved and will range from £400+ net per week for live in special needs carers and from £500+ for live out (daily) special needs nannies.
Please note those are only guide minimums based on 5 day working week. Each position is individually negotiated and more experienced or qualified Special needs nannies may command higher salaries.
